Who we are

We are a local family business from Olhão, our dream began with a love for nature, outdoors and landscapes shared by two bicycle lovers.

In 2014 we opened our SeaHorse Bike Rental with the goal of diversifying the tourismexperience in and around the town of Olhão. We offer our customers a local view of the true colours in the Algarve and a informed guided tour of the historiecobble stoned fishing town of Olhão located on the Ria Formosa.

Our wonderful weather provides 300 days of sunshine and blue sky for the cycling enthusiast. We believe our passion for our home town and the natural environment surrounding Olhão will deliver a service of excellence and make a life time memories.

Who we are

Our kiosk is located in Avenida 5 de Outubro, Jardim Patrão Joaquim Lopes, where you can rent a bike, or we can deliver where it is most convenient for you.

Join us and discover the Algarve in an ecological, harmonious and healthy way.

We also offer a repair service for any bikes, we will pick up and deliver the bike in a location that you are staying.

The owners are eager to please and make their business successful and so the service was excellent. Bikes were sufficient for city, road and moderate back road use and were in good shape.

Hired bikes on Christmas day, we were allowed to take them on Christmas Eve and return on Boxing day as they were closed. Bikes were well maintained and safe to ride. We were also given a useful map and tips on where to ride, a must do if you are in Olhao.

What a great surprise to find Seahorse Bike Rental in Olhão. Our teenagers were delighted to rent a bike for an hour while we had a walk along the front. The lady was really kind and helpful and spoke excellent English. The price was great too, it was just 11 euros for the 2 bikes for the hour. The lady also explained they can deliver bikes to you if you want. Will definitely be hiring from them again when we come back!!!

We hired two bikes to visit the Ria Formosa Natural Park. It is the perfect way to get around as there are 4 kilometres of tracks and it's an easy ride on quiet roads to get there. We were given excellent guidance to get there and found a fantastic local restaurant on the way back. An excellent day - well worth hiring a bike from Seahorse!
